Angela Jerardi is a curator and writer currently residing in Amsterdam. In her work, she is interested in investigating divergent ways of knowing, using non-hierarchical, collective models of working, and exploring play as a pedagogical and exhibition-making methodology. Her research aims to investigate an array of cultural phenomena; some of these interests include: utopian thinking, seed sovereignty, sanitation and regulation, absurd tools, speculative futures, and socioeconomic botany, among others. Selected recent and upcoming projects include: Game Theory, in the 2nd Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum Biennale, Beijing, CN (2014); the Athens conference on utopian technologies, etc, Athens, GR (2014) Bourgeois Leftovers, de Appel arts centre, Amsterdam, NL (2013); and Kat Culchur, Fluxspace, Philadelphia, US (2011). From 2008 – 2011 she was director of Fluxspace, an artist run space and collective project in Philadelphia, PA, (US). She completed the de Appel Curatorial Programme in 2013, and received a BA in cultural anthropology at Earlham College, Richmond, IN (US) in 2001.
