"The state media today use the term shiptar almost
exclusively to refer to Kosovo Albanians.
Although derived from Shqiptar - the word used by
Albanians to describe themselves - the Serbian variant
is wholly pejorative. Its adoption by the state media
coincided with the escalation of the conflict in
Kosovo. It had all but vanished from sight, even in
the state media after the Dayton Agreement, when
President Slobodan Milosevic made a U-turn towards
peace. But terminology is an inherent part of war and
daily politics. Yugoslavia's much-reduced free media,
both print and electronic, continue to use the terms
Kosovo and Kosovo Albanians."

Absolutely correct to point out the number of Serb
victims of the present disastrous situation and
absolutely right to point out that that situation has
been brought about and exacerbated by US/UK
imperialism.
Absolutely wrong and completely corrupting of your
case to ignore the mosque burnings in Belgrade and Nis
and to bolster it with casual anti Albanian racism.
You should withdraw and apologise for the use of the
term "shiptar" and likewise withdraw the sweeping
racial slurs used in your first post, reproduced in
reply to Joseph the other day.
