Internet image exchange project: "Evolving Structures"

Dear Rhizome member,

This is to invite your participation in "Evolving Structures," a web-based image exchange project.
Involvement is voluntary and open to any interested person. Participants are given the opportunity
to download images currently on the website, change them, and upload new images to replace
those they download. This dynamic is tracked and cataloged, resulting in evolving sequences of the
submitted images. These sequences will be available for viewing as the project progresses. They will
also be on display at this year's annual FATE conference in Sarasota, FL.

Thematically, the project is conceived around the idea of structure. Participants are asked to make
images that reflect consideration for visual structure, as well as the various kinds of structure that
help to define who we are: social, political, cultural, economic etc.

Below is a link to the project website where more information can be found. Your consideration and
involvement will help make this project a rich and dynamic one, and will be greatly appreciated. Also,
please pass this information along to others, wherever they may be. International involvement is
strongly desirted.

Jerry,
I'm not sure if you are familiar with Communimage, but it is a very similar
project to yours that has been running since 1999. You might find it
interesting.
