Saint Mary’s College invites applications for part-time lecturer in art education for the Department of Art & Art History for the 2007 - 2008 academic year to teach four (4) undergraduate courses in Art Education. It is expected that the foundation courses in drawing, painting, design, and sculpture will combine both studio and theoretical practices and also address new media trends in the visual arts. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Catholic, Lasallian and Liberal Arts traditions of the College.


Qualifications:

• EdD or PhD candidacy or a completed degree in Art Education, Visual Culture or related field
• prior visual art production teaching experience required
• significant broad knowledge of current innovative instructional and assessment methodologies

Salary will be determined by prior experience and degree and is competitive with other non-profit higher education institutions and commensurate with qualifications, experience, budget and internal equity considerations.
