*Kenta Nagai*
Composer Kenta Nagai presents Long Long Long, a new work for ensemble. Featuring an eclectic assortment of Asian instruments from Korea and Japan, Long Long Long draws on the heritage of these unique musical instruments and their uncommon sonorities. Equal parts Court Music, shamanistic ritual and 21st century New York, Long Long Long travels back through centuries to the pre-history of Japan and Korea, a time when national identity and lineage were nascent concepts. With Sang Won Park (Ajaeng), Jerry Lim (Kayagum), Kenta Nagai (Shamisen) and Tatsuya Nakatani (Percussion.)
