Deadline: Jan 31

Submit work to the Transmodern Arts Festival's" Pedestrian Services Exquisite"

PEDESTRIAN SERVICE EXQUISITE NEEDS YOUR SERVICES for an Extra-quisite sea and land operation!

Calling all interventionists, performers, cultural workers and exotic art laborers of all sorts! On Sunday, April 18, 2010, Pedestrian Service Exquisite will take to the sea and to the streets, creating and presenting a series of performances exploring Baltimore's harbor.

We are seeking projects both in or out of the water to be included in a performance/ tour of Baltimore's harbor. The tour will explore 2 locations connected by water. We will be in Locust Point at Tide Point, near water taxi stop #10, activating the public promenade of Hull St. and the surrounding area. Our second location will be across the harbor in Fells Point, near the Frederick Douglas-Isaac Myers Maritime Museum at water taxi stop #8. We will be activating the public water front, Thames street and the surrounding area. Projects will also be in the water around and in-between our locations. Please note that there is no available gallery space for this show.

Pedestrian Service Exquisite needs your souped up boats, floatation devices, performances, interventions, hacks, explorations, walks and site-specific works about place. We are interested in displacement, sustainability, tourism, transportation, urban public spaces and participatory work!
