Media Production Bard College - Assistant Professor of Film, Tenure-track

The Film & Electronic Arts Program of Bard College invites applications for a tenure-track position in media production at the rank of assistant professor, to commence in the fall of 2011. We are looking for someone who has a strong body of work and a distinguished record of accomplishment in the field. The candidate should have some combination of the following interests and skills: single channel video, projection, web based art, installation, programming, performance and/or animation, in addition to some specific research areas in the history and theory of the field.

Applicants should have an MFA or equivalent experience, have demonstrated excellence in teaching and a commitment to teaching undergraduates within a liberal arts context. The Film & Electronic Arts Program at Bard has a long history of contributing to the cinematic arts through educating film and video artists, writers for the screen and film scholars who have gone on to make significant work within contemporary media culture.
