ARTIST/DESIGNER/TINKERER NEEDED
01SJ "BUILD YOUR OWN WORLD" INSTALLATION (SAN JOSE, CA)

Individual needed to run a series of workshops on solar toy hacking as part of the 01SJ solarCircus project. Training will be conducted via Skype; all materials will be provided; need approximately 10 hours over 10 days; $10-15 hour depending on level of experience; travel reimbursement monies available if travel costs below $350. Dates and times negotiable, suggest 20-30 hours over the course of the first half of the festival, September 4-14.

ABOUT SOLARCIRCUS

solarCircus is an interdisciplinary platform for eco-dialogue about the future of renewable energy in urban spaces. Inside South Hall, visitors can browse a resource library, hack a solar toy, and experiment with solar cell construction. Outdoors, a miniature city of the future displays the creative potentials of solar power. This imaginary world is constructed from recycled materials and various electronics.
