Network culture! The fellowship for urban digital culture at the Kulturforum Witten
For you, the digitization of the cultural scene is more than a live stream from the theater hall? Would you like to experiment with new media formats? To network with other artists and creative artists? And to design spaces for new digital forms of expression together with them?
Then come to Witten in 2024 as a fellow for urban digital culture!
At the Kulturforum Witten you will find: It is time to bring the German cultural landscape into the digital space – and vice versa. Digitization offers artists and viewers: the opportunity, to rethink artistic processes and renegotiate cultural, social and political issues in the media. Together with the Cologne Game Lab, the Kulturpolitik Gesellschaft e.V. and four young artists: we want to examine and make digital means of expression – tangible in the city of Witten and beyond.
You live in our country for free all year round Artist: inner-WG in the coveted meadow district in Witten. In addition, we support you every month with 1,000 euros so that you can concentrate entirely on your project.

In your own Co-working space You can let off steam directly under the apartment and in the digital laboratory of Saalbau Witten.

Step 1:
Send us by 15.09.2023 a short text ( max. 1,500 characters including spaces ) with the most important information about you and your productive activities.
Step 2:
With the submission you will receive an upload link: We look forward to one Application video or a digital work. This way we can get to know you and your motivation better: Where are you right now? What is your artistic vision like? Why do you feel like living in a shared apartment in Witten? And what do you think is needed to promote the digital development of the German cultural landscape?
Step 3:
All submissions will be viewed by a jury of experts after the application is completed. She organizes the introductory talks, which is expected on September 25, 20203 take place. We will let you know whether you are there by early October. The move into the shared apartment including a Welcome Day is for the 2nd. Planned January week 2024.
