Live interaction between the artist's smartphone and those of the audience is the crucial moment of Leggero's performance. By using different kinds of applications on his cellphone (synth, drum machine, ringtones) Leggero composes a short piece of music, lighting up screens and flashes of the audience devices in tempo. The performance contains a preliminary explanation in which the artist gives instructions as to how to install the application needed. It soon becomes an occasion to transform a familiar device into an instrument for an unusual live concert.
Leggero's performance at the Livenel Festival follows his two previous works "Over 425,000 ways to make noise with your smartphone" and "Untitled (party light)" recalling and extending the concept of an alternative use of smartphones.
