Underlying rhythms of the city - crowd movement, dreams of glory, ambient sound, and memories of place - recur throughout the Digital Downtown exhibition. The work maps visual and aural poetries from the patterns and clutter which result from too many people in too little space.
>>Jillian Mcdonald

New Yorkers have a special, intimate relationship with their city's architecture. So much so that the architecture becomes icons for the city itself. Perhaps the reason for it is that in Manhattan, one of the most densely populated islands in the world, the very transportation, architecture, and geography are symbols of the connection a tourist or resident may have with the city. >>Juliet Ann Martin
