Subject: Version update Monday A 25

McKinley Park.
We expected snow.
Rain, miserable weather.
We were afraid to go out.
But we all dreamed for something brighter and it happened.

Perhaps the first outdoor Chicago picnic of the year was held on a cold, yet
mostly sunny day at the corner of Damen and 37th St. Around a hundred or
so people stopped by or camped out beneath a cardboard obelisk on a small
hilltop. And we arranged our bodies and ignored the cold until dusk.

Projects were realized by Total Gym, their sculptures opened up some sweet
exploratory options. Environmental Encroachment created a physical in ter
web to protect us from the elements and they marched around the park.

The terry plumming summit #1 was a massive success as we were confused and
delighted by a multi-faceted public documentation lecture format complete
with a typewriter chorus. People bar B-Qed. Buddy marys were served by super
morgan. more Food. Tarot cards, bubbles, PBR, dogs, blankets, cuddling,
smiles and the JunK space performance program gave us the day we wanted.

Then later… 18 Dutch and Belgian Artist transformed the Diamonds on Texas
space into a fantastic group exhibition space. Using Version as a platform
for realizing projects and creating new ones, students and instructors from
Post St Joust in Breda, Belgium showed us how its done. The preview show
will evolve into a final exhibitions this Friday during the Community of The
Future Art Walk program. Don't miss it. They are teaching us how to be
activated.

Then even later a dance party in a mexican taqueria bar entranced the hardy
and persuaded.

Version>05 is a considerable mystery to be hold. A successful intervention
into the collective doldrums known as the Chicago winter is now in progress
and is working its voodoo. So glad to see you all there.

If these past three days of Version is a sign for things to come. Expect
riots this summer..
