Jason Van Anden will unveil his latest creation: Farklempt! at the next Dorkbot gathering taking place at Location One in Soho on Wednesday, January 5th at 7pm.
Farklempt! is an online video game that challenges its players to manage their emotional-health through the skillful management of feelings against others trying to do the same. Farklempt! is a continuation of Jason’s ongoing series of artworks that strive to represent human emotional behavior through art and technology. Farklempt! was commissioned by the incredible online net art community at Rhizome.org and The New Museum of Contemporary Art with the support of the Jerome Foundation, The Greenwall Foundation and The Warhol Foundation.

Since this was just added to Fresh (thanks!), I wanted to make a correction. Rhizome granted the commission, not Rhizome and The New Museum of Contemporary Art.

Thank you to everyone that came to the unveiling of Farklempt! v 1.0 at Dorkbot NYC last Wednesday. It was an awesome turnout - and I was delighted (and relieved) that the attendees seemed to like the presentation and more importantly, Farklempt!.
