The Light Surgeons and Watermans Present: The Living Room Excavating
individuality in a world of flat-packed living
The Living Room is a specially commissioned mixed media exhibition that
offers up a fresh take on the nation's fascination with home make over
TV programmes like Changing Rooms, by discovering what defines the 21st
Century front room.
Created by the visionary artists and designers, The Light Surgeons, The
Living Room takes the viewer into a psycho-geographical map of the home.
It will survey the furniture, textiles, wallpaper and objects to reveal the
cultural richness and diversity of our current taste in style as well as
construct
a narrative of our identities as purveyed through our front room.
As part of this exhibition the Light Surgeons will present Z-Axis: A live
audio visual performance exploring themes of architecture and design by
fusing cult cinema with electronic sounds of Scanone.
