sounds of Miles Davis

I was sitting on a sidestreet near the corner of Queen. I raised the blanket over myself and my my notebook and searched for a wireless network.
I read the Lacook response to Miles Davis, but without warning, and without reason I leaned back and decided to stick my fingers in my ears.
I placed my left baby finger in my right ear, and my right baby finger in my left ear. I concentrated on the act.
I then pulled them both out quickly.
The action resulted in 2 wax encrusted brown bugs, landing on the pad of my laptop.
I picked one up and looked at it closely, it was too dark under the blanket. I pulled back the blanket and the sun revealed an insect laden with very small fine jewels.
Suddenly the sounds of the world around me came as a cacophony of experinces. Subways rattled, conversations passed by, thew cars ground brakes and stopped.
Louder and then louder still. Freedom overwhelmed me.
My new hearing found a rich new world.

I'm not committed enough to continue this thread, but the new sounds keep ringing.
