Walking tour of the Chicago Technology Park

The Temporary Travel Office will be sponsoring a walking tour of the
Chicago Technology Park - one of the world's largest urban centers of
biotech industrial research facilities in the world. The tour will look
at the ongoing history of urban redevelopment and the impact of beliefs
about biotechnology and the "new economy" upon that history as well as
the local development of activist and community strategies/tactics for
projecting alternative voices.
This tour compliments the self-guided audio tour that will also be
distributed to participants of the walking tour.
