Re:a pretty interesting law school exam question

EXACTLY!!!

and not only that, but i can share my physical CDs
with friends, as well as my books and any other
objects i have lying around—so why can i not share
files? why hasn't this problem been approached from
this angle?

i consider the record industry's response to file
sharing to be a dangerous move to curtail personal
liberty—and i also think it's a sad last breath for
a dying culture—the TRUTH is, recording artists make
very very little off of the sale of CDs–maybe a buck
or two—the artists make their money from live
shows—it's the INDUSTRY that benefits from the sale
of CDs—-

so i say, put the little bastards out of
business—ADAPT OR DIE!!!!! it's a new world now, and
clinging to these old ideas of ownership will not do
anyone any good…

Consumers can resell CDs purchased in a record shop,
but what about
digital music files downloaded from an online store?
