In this workshop you will learn how to build a contact microphone. Contact Microphones are an efficient and inexpensive way to amplify the hidden resonance of sounds through physical induction allowing you to discover all kinds of qualities to sounds that you didn't know existed. Contact Mics are useful for making recordings and can also be incorporated into performances and installations. Building a contact microphone is also a good first step in learning how to solder and assemble audio components.
