"The most original performance troupe with a Latin American aesthetic and a post-colonial ethos." -El Pais, Spain

For one week in January La Pocha Nostra’s core troupe will convene in San Francisco with their main collaborators from out of town to workshop a new performance extravaganza. The format will be a multi-diorama high tech performance/installation of epic scale similar to the legendary Mexterminator piece that took place in SomArts in 1998.

Versions of Corpo Ilicito have been presented recently at the Habana Biennale, The Trouble Festival (Brussels), The Danube Festival (Austria), Queer Zagreb, Arte es Accion (Madrid) and Columbia College (Chicago).

La Pocha core troupe includes:
Guillermo Gómez-Peña (San Francisco/Mexico City)
Roberto Sifuentes (Chicago)
Michele Ceballos (Phoenix/Bogota)
Guillermo Galindo (San Francisco/Mexico city)

The Performance associates:
John Zibell (Davis/NYC)
Saul Garcia Lopez (Toronto/Mexico City)
Dani d’Emilia (Brazil)
EJ Hill (Chicago)
Natalie Brewster Nguyen (Tucson)
Erica Mott (Chicago)
