Cross-Pollinating the Pollen for Super-Pollen

artforum.com/talkback

There's also a cool thread there about "Reanimism," any takes or puts on
that Muserna Museet Moderna?

Also to Joao, do you know the term "near-core"? I think it relates to
certain goodly things. I like Joao by the way all you bloods and crips.
Better and funner than "Behind the Music" all damn day.

Gotta look over your shoulder constantly,

Burgdorfs Shoe designs

by welchsonnyo, 09.14.02 12:29 pm

Top avant guard artists, do shoes. It's real dangerous without that status
for sure. Here I have sat and designed shoes for months and they never even
ask me, get me a top shoe designer, to work with, and a name!

My submission for the design fad: Voyeur Party Loafer shoes, with a pump up,
instep mirror, fiance bead imbroidered, in indian pattern (south american)
Brown, oil tanned, and marble soul from space shuttle elastimer technically
fused to withstand temperatures of SA.

And for that woman who doesn't want her privates public: a faux culottes
with thousand petticoat form under
Blue-green-purple/ blue-red-purpale peasant rag silk. Inspired by polygamist
women's casual business dress.

Oh sweet heaven someone please go to this and mention Genius 2000 to all
those dudes. It will change the world I swear. Verify that you said "Genius
2000" to at least Koons and Hirst, either by yelling, holding up a large
sign, or throwing pieces of paper with "Genius 2000" on them, and I'll
reimburse you for the buck fitty.

this is a fundraiser for an arts institution. it is far less pathetic than
many other benefits. at least they are not requesting more paintings. most
of these artists have raised 1000's of $$ for aids research, childrens
charities and arts organizations to support struggling and failed(????)
artists. let it go.

Damien Hirst and Manalo Blahnik.
That's the sort of shit that could permanently damage you on acid.
What a fuckin nightmare.
I haven't had any drugs in days, and I still threw up all over myself when I
read that.

BPrevdi, what are you doing?
Are you writing the copy for this gala?
Or maybe you just get in free, huh?
Slick. You are an Operator.
I tip my hat to you, Sir.
Nothing that cool EVER happens in Dallas, y'know.

Re: Burgdorfs Shoe designs

Yo newgirl, the combined advertising budget for those designers is millions
of dollars, Every Single Day.
Raising "thousands of dollars" reminds me of Doctor Evil demanding ONE
MILLION DOLLARS or he'll blow up the world. Get a grip.
It's the pretense of contribution as advertising.
Greed on steroids.

We could learn from the advertizers, shoe designers, manufactures,
marketers, retailers, and those who donate a certain percentage of their
profits, and give cards every holiday. :)

Welchson, I would like to answer but I think you would get a better answer
(more objective too) from Eryk at salsabomb.com or anyone at rhizome.org.
Because it's beautiful. However, many will not express a reaction pro or
con, so ask around who will. I think [email protected] will. But it gets
to the shoe-art and charity-retail nubs, hence on-topic, near-core-wise (new
word for me). Also, if you send me your real email I can speak more freely
