Position Summary: The Advanced Media Specialist position provides professional services in museum-grade wide-format archival digital printmaking; laser cutting and etching; rapid prototyping/3D printing, and 3D scanning. Organize, facilitate and expedite Advance Media Studio (AMS) service production at the highest quality; assist with service management systems; supervise AMS student employees and communicate with key stakeholders regarding services provided by the AMS.

Qualifications/Required Education: Bachelor's degree in design, engineering, computer science, fine art or related field.

Preferred Education: Master's degree

Required Experience: 2-3 years relevant professional experience providing advanced 2D and 3D enterprise-level production services. Must include experience supporting advanced 2D and 3D imaging applications, archival printing and scanning, laser cutting, 2D and 3D printing.

Preferred Experience: Technical experience in relevant field, e.g., fabrication arts and manufacturing to include 3D modeling, 3D printing, 3D scanning, Class 4 laser systems and digital fine art printing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): Ability to clearly communicate concepts to a non-technical audience. Excellent organizational, project management and technical skills. Familiarity and Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, Acrobat), EFI RIP, Flextight Scanning Software, Autodesk MAYA, SolidWorks, MeshLab, Blender, Pixoligic ZBrush, Geomagic Studio, Cinema 4D, Rinocerus 3D, netfab Studio, Z Corporation ZPrint for PC, Objet Studio Software and Z Corporation ZScan.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: (include unique competencies, certification, licenses, etc.): Experience in technical and service support of museum grade digital fine art archival printing and 3D fabrication services.
