Listen, this is how conversation works.

The ushin is the same as the mo-shin. It is the 'mind that exists,'
and becomes one-sided about anything. We call such a mind the be-mind
because it has things to think about and thereby generates ideas and
judgements. The mushin is the same as honshin. Neither, ..neither
.. it is a mind devoid of ideas and judgements, a mind that extends and
spreads throughout your body, filling your whole being.

If you have something to think about in your mind, you are not hearing
someone speaking to you.. Your mind.. and as it does, you don't hea
while hearing, and you don't see while seeing..
