“Mixed Media” is a juried exhibition highlighting the diverse materials used in the creation of contemporary art works. Playing with the idea of fragmentation, this show aims to make apparent the importance of the medium in visual communication. The exhibition will take place in the Corridor Gallery of Asnuntuck Community College, Enfield, CT.

Eligibility
Open to all artists. All submitted work must be considered “mixed media,” incorporating at least three different materials in the production of the work. Accepted work must be ready to hang.

Important Dates
Entry deadline: Monday, July 28, 2014
Notification of acceptance: Friday, August 1, 2014
Work delivered/shipped to ACC by: Friday, August 29, 2014
Exhibition opens: Tuesday, September 2, 2014
Exhibition closes: Friday, September 12, 2014
Artwork picked-up/shipped back: Monday, September 15, 2014

Restrictions
Works must incorporate at least three different types of media.
Accepted work must be ready to hang.

How to Apply
To enter, email up to five images with dimensions and media to [email protected]. Images should be in JPEG format, no larger than 3MP each. Files should be named:
firstname_lastname_worktitle.jpg (e.g., michael_demers_untitled1.jpg)
Please do not include additional information, such as bios, resumes, etc. in your email. If selected, delivery instructions will be sent via email.

Delivery/Liability/Insurance
The artist is responsible for having all accepted work delivered to the school campus, as well as return delivery back to the artist. All postage/delivery fees for the return of work must be provided by the artist. Insurance during delivery to and from campus must be provided by the artist. Asnuntuck Community College assumes no responsibility for work damaged during transit, nor for the duration of the exhibition.
