The Department of Media, Journalism & Film at Missouri State University anticipates an August 11, 2014 opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in New Media and Interactive Design. Required qualifications: Ph.D. or MFA in interactive new media or related discipline must be completed no later than August 1, 2014. Minimum of two years professional experience in new media or interactive design. Teaching experience at the college level and the ability to teach a variety of classes in new media, web design, advanced interactive design, convergence and social media, and mobile application development.

Duties: Teach a variety of new media, interactivity and multimedia design courses. Advise majors and provide service to the department. Pursue creative and/or scholarly research required for tenure and promotion.
