ArtSlant ERROR 415 Award in New Media

ArtSlant is proud to announce the first annual ERROR 415 Award in New Media.

Award Installation is juried by prominent new media artists and curators Nick Briz [nickbriz.com], Anthony Antonellis [netartnet.net], Manuel Fernández [http://www.domain-gallery.net], Daniel Rehn and Sarah Caluag (me+Sarah) [http://ani-gif.com], and Annie Werner [tumblropenarts.tumblr.com].

Selections chosen by the jury will be projected onto the wall adjacent to the Phoenix Hotel on May 17th during ArtPadSF, and viewable in virtual exhibition on ArtSlant.com as well as our Tumblr following the screening.

The winner of the ArtSlant Error 415 Award will be announced during the event, and will receive a cash prize of $415.

Submissions are accepted from April 10th until April 24th

Submissions are to be moving-image, computer-generated new media art that is representative of the experimental, critical and interrogative nature of this burgeoning medium. Sound and physical materials will not be supported at the installation.

Acceptable submission formats include:

animated.gif
single-channel embedded video
executable files formatted for OSX
netart (self-executing)

A submission fee of $10 must be paid for the applicant to be considered. You may submit more than one work but the submission fee will apply each time. The winner of the Award will be announced at the beginning of the screening. They will also receive a cash prize of $415 (no need to be present to accept the award).
