I'm a Brooklyn-based artist making performative and conceptual work that examines the act of self-representation. I explore the relationship between branding, consumerism, and identity, while also activating questions of authorship and authenticity. Durational works harnessing repetition and memory, along with allusions to fan culture and the diaristic, become performance about performance, documentation about documentation. Whether the work manifests as a cover song, an intervention, or a discrete object, a subtext of lifestyle branding is at play. My work examines self-expression and the cultural values inherent in its manifestations. I earned my BFA in sculpture from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn and have exhibited and performed at White Box Gallery, Momenta Art, CAGE, Recession Art, The Ho_se, Silent Barn, New Century Artists, and others.
