Adam Chapman's solo and collaborative projects have been shown internationally at museums, festivals, and galleries, including: the DeCordova Museum, the American Museum of the Moving Image, the New Museum's Z-Media Lounge, the Whitney Museum's Artport, SVA's Digital Salon, D.U.M.B.O. Film and Video Festival, and SIGGRAPH. In 2002, he was nominated for a Rockefeller New Media Fellowship. Chapman has completed residencies at the MacDowell Colony, 911 Media Arts in Seattle, WA, Cal. State Fullerton, Banff Center for the Arts, and Weblab's Crossover. He was Art Editor for the magazines, CROWD and Lit. He has a permanent installation at the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. His work has been written about in The New York Times Online, Newsweek, Communication Arts, MIT's New Technology Review and Leonardo. He currently teaches in the Design and Technology department of Parsons New School of Design, and has previously taught at Yale, The New School, NYU, and City University of New York. He is an MFA candidate (writing, fiction) from the New School University. Chapman is probably taller than you.
