'Moving to the Cloud' is a continuation of Laura Hyunjhee Kim's exploration in the various modes of communication through the Internet and modern technology. The piece in particular realizes the contemporary obsession with storing data and retaining memory through cloud computing.

Artist Statement

Laura Hyunjhee Kim is an interdisciplinary artist who primarily works with video, performance and digital images. Appropriating familiar imagery and stylistic formalities from popular culture, Kim's recent works have been subjected to her "It's Complicated" relationship with the Internet. Kim currently resides and works in San Francisco, California.
