Full Description
The Variations, created between 1998 and 2001, and revised in 2011, evoke winter atmospheres on cold uninhabited planets. Each variation, save the last one, works with a different feature (sine waves, overtones, mixtures, noises, pulsations). The last variation employs all the features from the previous five, while the Postlude rearranges the sine waves from the First variation in a new way, and closes the cycle by suggesting a possible new beginning. The music accompanied three exhibitions of Europism (a mock- avant-garde movement invented by Dimitrije Tadic and Maja Josifovic) in Belgrade in 2001.
