SPHERES is an experimental webspace - a stimulating laboratory, merging different approaches to thinking and working so as to encourage new forms of producing, curating and communicating architecture and media within the context of contemporary artistic and cultural production. The site's architecture is based on the idea of both an "individual" and "shared" approach to cultural diversity. The thematic focus of Spheres, the production of public spheres, takes itself the form of a collaborative production. On its very first plane, the site's "semantic interface" involves the user in the shared formation of public spheres. The integrated element of the "topic genereator" expands the areas of discussion towards an exciting field of interaction. The common negotiation about public spheres is then intensified on a second plane which consists of interrelational spaces, open spaces and project spaces. SPHERES is an experimental webspace - a stimulating laboratory, merging different approaches to thinking and working so as to encourage new forms of producing, curating and communicating architecture and media within the context of contemporary artistic and cultural production. The site's architecture is based on the idea of both an "individual" and "shared" approach to cultural diversity. The thematic focus of Spheres, the production of public spheres, takes itself the form of a collaborative production. On its very first plane, the site's "semantic interface" involves the user in the shared formation of public spheres. The integrated element of the "topic genereator" expands the areas of discussion towards an exciting field of interaction. The common negotiation about public spheres is then intensified on a second plane which consists of interrelational spaces, open spaces and project spaces. Particularly, the interrelational spaces operate with an experimental set-up in which the different voices of invited experts from various disciplines (CreActors Zone) meet with those of the public (Link Up Zone) in a non-hierarchical Space. A third plane offers extensive documentation in various media about the artistic and theoretical works selected, and about their producers.
SPHERES is
A Space of Production in which the creation of the project is equally important as its outcome.
A Space of Process in which new productions, discourses and documentations of individual projects will gradually fill its various layers and start to interact with one another.
A Space of Collaboration dedicated to a transdisciplinary cooperation of curators, architects, artists, webdesigners, programmers and artists as well as the audience.
A Space of Plurilogues that is constantly shifting and folding, taking its form from the different discourses which are brought into play.
A Space of Association which encourages an emotive and poetical involvement of the user.
