On April 20th, 2002, Chicago USA ,BEIGE [aka The BEIGE programming ensemble] held the first ever world cassette jockey championship. Now finally – in true BEIGE fashion – many months after the event PHOTOS have been uploaded!! Organized and Hosted by Beige Records in association with the Version02 Festival and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, the CJ battle was a one night event in which hopeful cassette jockeys battled each other in the hopes of being named the best cassette jockey in the world.
