DARMSTADT PRESENTS KYKLOS ENSEMBLE OCTOBER 25 at GALAPAGOS

Darmstadt “Classics of the Avant Garde” series at Galapagos is proud to present the Kyklos ensemble, formerly known as Kinski, and their new rendition of Stockhausen’s Tierkreis, or Zodiac, a 12-movement work (one for each star sign), originally performed in 1975 on fabricated music boxes. Kyklos’s pan-timbral interpretation integrates live video by Tyler Kinney. Also on the program are works by Ligeti and Messiaen. Come early and stay late for “non-rigorous” DJ sets by Nick Hallett
