The Department of Photography and Imaging invites applications for an Open Rank (Assistant/Associate Arts Professor) in Photography and/or Imaging Technology to commence on July 1, 2008.

The department seeks an artist and experienced educator working with forms of imaging technology and possessing a broad understanding of contemporary visual arts. An MFA or MA in a relevant discipline required. Candidates must have strong leadership skills and be able to participate in shaping a curriculum that is inclusive of both technical and critical issues as well as a broad understanding of the history and contemporary practice within the medium and the practical and theoretical implications of new technologies. The candidate must have a significant exhibition history and a demonstrated commitment to, or philosophical statement for, diversity. Hired candidate will teach 5 courses yearly and will serve on departmental, university committees as needed and advise students. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
