Notably, much of our early Greek poetry is concerned with the just distribution of goods and honors (cf. Iliad and Works and Days). Another related word to both nomos and neimo is Nemesis, goddess of retribution and vengence who takes care of any unjust distribution.
Hesiod, an early Greek poet, suggests that one's own customs or culture controls one's perceptsion of the world (Custom is the King of all).

Excellent post milionis. I wouldn't have seen the pic otherwise.

Greeks were not the most logical. Do you think I'm trying to hose Natalie?
After all our relationship is artist to artist, mind to mind, not cheesy
parlor lovemaking.

It hurts me when people say I'm too logical. I am in some ways but I'd
hardly say I'm trying to stuff people with logic. Did I take that the wrong
way, i.e., it's the audience that needs to be stuffed with logic not the
artists?

I also enjoy the manner in which Milionis is always saying "and….now",
pointing out the trendy foppishness of most people and netartists like
myself. Life's so rad.
