Call for submissions - Interactive artwork for touch-screens

Submissions are now being accepted for TOUCHinteractive, UK’s first open submission exhibition specifically for digital-interactive artwork. All submitted artwork must be suitable for touch-screen display. We are looking for work that is fun, intuitive and engaging for audiences of all ages.

Submissions of up to 3 interactive artworks per person for touch-screens will be accepted. Artworks should be sent on CD, DVD or memory stick and need to be made to run on the following hardware:‐

Gallery Touch Screen
-17” Dicoll Resistive Touch Screen with serial communication.
-1280 x 768 resolution.
-Touch screens are operated from a standing position and are presented at various viewing angles.

Control Room PC
Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3
Gigabyte 8I915P Dual Graphics Motherboard with 3.60 GHTZ P4 Processor, 2048 Secondary memory cache with 1 GB memory
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Series GPU video Card

Delivery of content from control room PC to touch screen will be via existing gallery extender hardware network.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer sound output at this time.

The selected applications will be exhibited at The Public in January and February 2011.

Deadline for submissions is Friday 31st December 2010.
