Feed the Herd Theatre Company is proud to present the World Premiere of Simon Heath’s DOPPELGANGER, directed by Emanuel Bocchieri, which launches the Resident Artist program at 3LD Art and Technology Center.

Performances are at 3LD Art and Technology Center (80 Greenwich Street, between Edgar and Rector). Tickets are $25 and are available by calling Theatermania at 212-352-3101, or on the web at www.feedtheherd.org.

DOPPELGANGER is the story of two office drones—a network engineer, George, and a human resources executive, Marcia—coming to terms with the sudden death of their mutual acquaintance, Frank. Frank dies by falling from his office window to his death while joking with George. Simultaneously, the same Frank is having an affair in the office across the street with Marcia. Time and space play tricks on the two protagonists, haunting, perplexing and tempting them to open up its mysteries and come to an understanding of Frank’s death and their own existence.

The technical elements employed by Feed the Herd for this production are on the cutting edge of digital and physical technology. The set is an autonomous interactive landscape embedded with pressure, light and vibration sensitive sensors that trigger video and sound cues based on the actor's interaction with the physical set itself. The show employs cutting edge sound recording elements to allow audio to be recorded live and played back to create a nightmarish duality within a dense soundscape. As the actors engage the interactive objects they create their own sound and video cues, building and deconstructing the set itself, each act unique to each performance.
