Social Fiction have developed a 'stroll algorithm' for navigating cities,
2nd right, 2nd right, 1st left, repeat; based on John Conway's 'Game of
Life'. They invite you to explore the city with this pattern. Through
collaborative wandering they attempt to gain fresh perspectives/observations
on urban spaces.

'warchalking' is a new sign system which is being developed to indicate
the proximity/accessiblity of wireless networks and nodes. This graffitied
chalk signage is based on hobo signs in the US.

Kate Armstrong's 'The Relation Papers' show results from constructed
experiments looking at how we conceptualise time. The experiments involved
role playing and hypnosis and notions of expanded and obliterated time. By
privaleging the past/present/future personalities shift.

'Home Maker' are portraits of four homebound OAPs set in their living rooms.
Small autobiographical snippets are triggered from objects and photos within
these quicktime VR rooms. Unsurprisingly most of their present is lived in
the past.

'Domestic Idols' is a different home tour, these spaces are inhabited by
pipecleaner porn.

'LIXINDEX' pits Lucy Kimbell's life, and how she is feeling, against other
measures of wellbeing like the FTSE top 100. Part bloglike, part Brigit
Jones, part exploration into pleasures, values and fears; the project maps
fluctuations in Kimbell's personal life by adopting corporate language and
analysis systems.
