Marketing Work Study in Banff

The Banff Centre is looking for an outgoing and enthusiastic marketing assistant who is studying arts administration, marketing, communications, public relations, or has one to two years experience in the field with strong oral and written communication skills, great organizational abilities, and a passion for the arts.

This position works with a team of marketing and communications professionals to implement marketing plans to recruit artists to The Banff Centre’s media, visual, literary, and performing arts programs.

Specific duties:

• assist with promotional activities, such as writing, editing, and proofing of marketing materials, including brochures, posters, print advertising, flyers, emails, and web updates
• conduct research that will assist in developing marketing plans, such as audience identification strategies for reaching audiences, contact database development, as well as competitive and research analysis
• assist with implementing The Banff Centre’s social media strategies
• organize and maintain records of materials including printed documents and photo contact sheets

Program dates: May 20, 2010 - March 31, 2011 (to start as soon as possible). Program start and end dates are flexible and may vary from dates listed above.

Work study participants will receive a stipend of $425 per week, based on prior training and experience.
