Islington Exhibits

Islington Exhibits is now seeking entries from artists whose practice is concerned with themes that include integration, identity or isolation. The successful entries will form a group show held within a thriving inner-city school, and will therefore play an important educational role whilst also maintaining a highly visible presence for the public.

The exhibition will follow on from this year’s Refugee Week that takes place from 14-20 June, with the aim to promote understanding and awareness between host communities and refugees and asylum seekers.

Islington Exhibits is an initiative to unlock hidden venues to give artists and craft persons a space to display their work. It is produced by Rowan Arts in partnership with Cubitt Education and St Luke's Centre with support from Islington Council. Islington Exhibits runs from Friday 25 June to Sunday 4 July 2010.

Submit 2 low res. photos and a short artist statement to [email protected]. Please note that we are open to expressions of interest as well as completed pieces.
