Visualizing TRANS exhibition

"Visualizing TRANS" is an innovative exhibition that brings together artists, thinkers and activists who challenge traditional boundaries between mediums, practices, and disciplines, and investigates links and crossings—between art and science, politics and poetry, nature and culture, the environment and the senses—in exciting new ways. The show will be at the Kupfer Center (Ironworks building) in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, from Friday, October 20th through Saturday, October 28th, 2006. It features over 40 local, national, and international contributors, including a local fourth grade art club alongside UW-Madison faculty, and artists who have shown at the Whitney. There will be live performances, sculpture, video, photography, installation, dance, and sound art. The exhibition is being held in conjunction with TRANS: A Visual Culture Conference, sponsored by the Visual Culture Cluster at the UW-Madison.
