Intensive arts technology workshops @ Victoria University, Melbourne

Letting you know that the Hybrid initiative at Victoria University will be running two intensive, hands-on arts technology workshops during the September term break. They're designed for designers, musicians, artists and new media practitioners interested in using technology to further their practice.

Places are limited and are currently available at the subsidised price of $150 (free for current f/t VU TAFE students). Details are below:

Workshop 1: Interface - build your own custom interface hardware

A five-day intensive workshop for multimedia, video, sound
artists and musicians interested in developing hardware interfaces such as MIDI mixers, video controllers, novel-instruments and installations. Includes soldering and electronics tuition.

Start: Monday, 18 September
Finish: Friday, 22 September

Workshop 2: Plugin - create your own audio software

For new media artists with an interest in audio. Design and make your own custom VST audio software plugins with this intensive five-day workshop. Includes digital audio theory, a crash course in Max/MSP and the Pluggo authoring tool. Suitable for both beginners and experienced
practitioners.

Finish: Friday, 29 September
