In the spirit of media artist Jenny Holzer's series of "truisms" in the 1980's I've created the Holzer machine. This video projection piece uses an application that has been programmed to generate random combinations of words. They form the sentence syntax of a pluralarized subject(Workers, Bees, Republicans, etc..) The subject matter is based upon language gleaned from the present day lexicon of our media, government and celebrities. It is then all mashed up into "randomisims" where things like perspective or subject can change and effect the whole meaning of the statement. There are litterally 4,371,412 possibilities based on the current database of words.
