For this exhibition there are two concurrent bodies of work investigating the visual culture of online auctions, which in this case focuses on representations of technology.
Untitled Project: eBay/Computer/Flash consists of 8 paintings of ebay auctions whose subject (a computer) reveals a reflected camera flash.
Untitled Project: eBay/Memory/Blur consists of 8 painted reproductions of obscured and blurry ebay auction photographs of internal computer memory
All of the paintings are 8 inches x10 3/4 inches, oil on panel, 2005 and like that of other eBay Untitled Projects, the paintings will imitate the original auction through use of title, ebay category, and starting bid.
