Loop Art Critique (LAC) is a gesamtkunstwerk, a comprehensive artwork comprising multiple art forms located in Onland, a metaverse developed by art and technology non-profit, The MUD Foundation. As an arts space, LAC is committed to group critique and experimental exhibitions. It is open and free to any audio or visual artists who can upload their work. Loop is inclusive of seasoned developers and artists with no experience working in the expanded web. There are materials available to help guide artists whatever their prior knowledge.

For the first time, LAC will host an all-audio contemporary classical cohort of composers.

The juror Thomas L. McKinley is a Professor of Music Theory and Composition at Lynn University where he serves as  Head of Music Theory, History & Composition. His teaching experience spans over three decades and includes positions previously held at Tulane University, the College of the Holy Cross, Tufts University, and the New England Conservatory’s Extension Division.

Composers may submit only audio to the Open Call. They are limited to 2 compositions under 10 minutes in length each. No resumes, cv’s, websites or biographies. Composers may use handles, pseudonyms, voice changers and non-representational avatars in LAC.
