NEWMU TEENS

NewMu Teens is a twelve-week, stipend-supported, afterschool program for people ages fifteen to nineteen. Building on the New Museum’s history of critically engaging teens, this program provides young people with opportunities to interact with contemporary art and culture, with a focus on the intersections of gender, race, class, and sexuality. Participants connect with peers, guest artists, and their own creativity through workshops, artmaking, and discussion.

The program is free and NewMu Teens participants will receive a stipend of $500 to ensure broad access to the program. Participants will meet every Tuesday from 4–6 p.m. from February 6 to May 7, 2024, excluding school recesses.

Apply by Tuesday, November 14, 11:59 p.m.
