Screensaver all-idiots/hit is part of a larger (IRL) exhibition project by ScreenSaverGallery, which was first presented at the MeetFactory in Prague in 2021 and dealt with the issue of artificial intelligence in the context of visual art.
The author of screensaver is Czech artist Tomáš Javůrek, who focuses on digital media and online environments in his mainly collaborative projects. For the exhibition project AI: All Idiots he prepared an image dataset from publicly available documentation of Czech artists and art groups and trained the generative model StyleGAN2 on top of it.
This critical and slightly humorous work can now be enjoyed by every user of ScreenSaverGallery in the form of the all-idiots/hit screensaver, which also offers a certain degree of interactivity for long evenings in your home.
