Description: The TLT Center/New Media Program at Purchase College SUNY seeks a designer to support faculty efforts to incorporate technology into the curriculum. This will comprise work with faculty across the campus to develop media-rich content and learning modules for a variety of traditional, blended and online courses as well as providing technical support to the New Media program including possible new initiatives in physical computing, locative media and/or live video processing. Duties will include research into new media-related technologies and new instructional approaches; development and delivery of faculty and student workshops on the use of technology; development of training materials and documentation.

Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree is required in a design or new media related field plus two years full time experience in instructional design or digital media tech support; excellent computer and digital media skills including experience in video post-production and the development of rich media content; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with a graduate degree related to instructional design or new media; experience working in an academic setting; experience applying Web 2.0 tools to instruction; experience with server administration; experience converting courses for online delivery.

Salary: $45,000 (Subject to budgetary approval)
