[Call for Artists] The 3rd International Exhibition and Publication on New Media Art

CICA Museum invites new media artists worldwide to participate in the 3rd International Exhibition and Publication on New Media Art. The selected artists will be featured in the 3rd International Exhibition on New Media Art at the CICA Museum and in the book “New Media Art 2018.”

*Installation:
-Photograph & 2D Digital Art
Selected works will be printed in 10×15 inches, framed, and installed by our curators & assistants. Please let us know if you have works that need to be printed larger than 10×15 inches.

-Video & Interactive Art
We will provide projectors and DVD/DIVX players for the show. Multiple single-channel works will be screen through a projector. Our curators & assistants will install your work(s) according to your installation guidelines. If the work is required to be screened through a projector exclusively, or more than two projectors/monitors are needed, please let us know. Additional fees may apply.

-Painting, Sculpture, and Installation Art
The artist is responsible for the shipment and delivery of his/her work to and from CICA Museum, as well as all related expenses. The work should be no larger than 39 inch (1 m) on the longest length for a painting and no larger than 59x59x79 inches (1.5 x 1.5 x 2 m, w x l x h) for a sculptural/installation piece. The work that needs to be mounted on the wall should not exceed 10 kg.

[Publication] “New Media Art 2018”
The book “New Media Art 2018” will be released in the United States and Korea in December 2017. Each artist will be featured in four pages of the book. The article may include any form of text (e.g., interview, essay, poetry), drawings, and pictures that introduces the artists’ works. Each artist will also be introduced through the CICA Museum website and social media.

February 17, 2017 Submission Deadline
February 24- March 3, 2017 Approvals: Selected artists will be notified by email.
April 21 – May 7, 2017 Exhibition dates
December 15, 2017 Expected publication date of “New Media Art 2018”

– Please send us up to 3 direct links to video and/or up to 5 JPG images, and your bio. Please email them to “[email protected].”
– Please write “Submission: New Media Art – Your Name” in the subject line of your email.

-If your works are selected, you will be required to pay the show maintenance fee ($50 per work) and the printing fee for the publication ($35).
