Residency For Artists On Hiatus (RFAOH) starts the new year with brand new residents

Residency For Artists On Hiatus (RFAOH) is thrilled to welcome the following artists on-hiatus as our 2016/2017 residents:

Lee Churchill, Canada
Marisa Dipaola, USA/Portugal
Ramla Fatima, Pakistan
Joyce Lau, Canada
Wayne Wang-Jie Lim, Singapore/Netherlands
George Major, UK/Hong Kong
Rob Santaguida, Canada

As everyone else gears up for the new art season, Marisa, Ramla, Wayne, and Lee have already taken a head start with their hiatus. George, Rob and Joyce will follow them over the next three months. Please visit their pages on our site to find out who they are and what they are doing instead of making art.

After three years of operation, RFAOH now feels like a community beyond our participants, all sharing and observing these peculiar conditions around art and life. We invite you to join the conversation by following and commenting on our new residents’ on-hiatus reports.

We would like to thank the organizations and individuals who have helped this DIY project in various ways. Among them, our deep gratitude goes to Mr. Tehching Hsieh, who will continue his tenure on RFAOH’s advisory board for another year. We are also happy to acknowledge the generous support of the Canada Council for the Arts this year, making our third residency term for artists not making art possible.

Join our mailing list or follow us on Twitter and Facebook to receive the latest news as this year’s residency unfolds. We welcome any questions or comments about RFAOH and its new term at [email protected].
