Building off of the first reading group meeting’s focus on Funk, this group discussion with Lauren Halsey will focus on Sun Ra—his music, myth and Afrofuturism, and performance—in relation to the artist’s Kingdom Splurge (4).

The evening will include screenings of select scenes from Space is the Place and Sun Ra: A Joyful Noise.
